Japan'S Export To China Increased By 9.6% In Fiscal Year 2020

According to Japanese media reports, on April 19, Japan's Ministry of Finance released data showing that in March, Japan's export value increased by 16.1% year-on-year, reaching a new high since December 2017, and the import amount increased by 5.7% year-on-year. In March, Japan recorded a trade surplus of about 663.7 billion yen, maintaining a surplus for two consecutive months.

Japan's exports to China increased by 9.6% in fiscal year 2020. Among the 36 major countries and regions counted by Japan's Ministry of finance, only China and Switzerland grew. The proportion of Japan's exports to China has remained at 17% to 19% since 2010. In recent years, Japan's exports to the United States have almost reached the same level as Japan's exports to the United States, but in 2020 it has exceeded 20%.
